Natural Way to Tame a Flare for Eczema
ALOE VERA GEL “WET WRAP”
Alternative Natural Way to Tame a Flare for Eczema would have to be Aloe Vera Gel Wet Wraps.
What are the benefits? Aloe Vera Gel alone has a-lot of anti inflammatory properties that help combat any inflammation or irritation the skin may have. It is one of the reasons why it is used a lot for sunburns to repair your skin. Aloe Vera also contains glycoprotein and polysaccharides, two key ingredients that offer skin-soothing benefits.
*Make sure to leave the Aloe Vera in the refrigerator to get skin cooling affect that helps combat itchiness.
Instructions:
STEP 1: Cut or purchase Aloe Vera at a store
STEP 2: Wash Aloe Vera
STEP 3: Squish down along the aloe vera to soften the insides.
Note: this will help to remove the gel from the skin easier.
STEP 4: Cut Aloe Vera Gel in half to reveal the gel:
After you separate the gel from the Aloe Vera Apply on affected Areas and Wrap it with Gauze. Leave it on for about 20 minutes or until it dries.
Make sure to wrap it secure on all affected areas. I even wrapped my neck and upper lip since they were also flaring eczema.
After the times is up I suggest to wash off the Aloe with a hypoallergenic body soap like Neutro grisi or Cln Body Wash and apply your favorite moisturizer. (Mine currently is Cocoa Body Butter)
I am highly allergic to many hygiene products and Neutro Grisis Hypoallergenic soap has been amazing for me 🙂 Of course everyone is different and one product that works for me may not work for you.
* If you have allergies towards Aloe Vera I suggest an alternative method of natural wet wrapping which involves Dead Sea Salt and Apple Cider Vinegar.
Dilute about 1/4 cup Apple cider vinegar with about 3 cups of water. Saturate a cotton ball with the mixture, and apply it to the affected areas. Note it will burn for most of us TSW sufferers going through a severe flare ups so make sure you have an Ice pack near by to put on top to calm the burn.
Again I want to let you guys know that I have tried Eucrisa 2 years ago before for a month and that stuff made my skin feel like it was on fire! Nothing compared to a saturated apple cider cotton dab. However for any recent small patches it shouldn’t be so bad. Apply this in the morning and at night.
Do you have deep wounds that need to be disinfected?
If your eczema is severe or your going through a severe flare up where you have cuts
I recommend washing it with hydrogen peroxide with a cotton swap and with diluted Apple Cider Vinegar. It will sting like a mother trucker I admit but anything to avoid a staph infection am I right.
Let me know in the comments what natural alternatives have helped you 🙂
