HEALING YOUR SKIN WITH YOUR MIND
Your mind is powerful. It has the power to destroy and empower you. Eczema is not only a physical but it is also a mental battle. You see the battle is in the mind. Personally I use to have severe anxiety in public. I would never leave the house without a cardigan and I hated how I looked. What has help me get to where I am today was the day I decided to see a psychologist about it. Making this blog, youtube, and instagram Innerhealthfreak was a part of that mental healing journey.
Here are some tips to help heal your mind:
- Know that you are not alone with Eczema. When you are ready. Share your story publicly and connect with the eczema community. 🙂
- If your mind is constantly telling you negative thoughts listen to positivity in the form of podcast or motivational videos. I’ve created a playlist that I listen to a lot click here
- If you can find a good psychologist to talk to I would highly recommend. What you are going through is HARD and YOU MATTER.
- Tell yourself something positive when you look at yourself in the mirror one time in the morning. For Example ” Look at you!! you looking fire today despite this flare. you got this!”
Depression and Anxiety is commonly linked with Eczema. In order to help your body heal you must address your mind as well. Of course they are physical things you can do to heal as well.
