HOW TO EXERCISE WITH ECZEMA
Exercise is one of the key components towards skin healing. Often times when you have eczema it stings and itches to exercise. Regardless the benefits of working out greatly outweighs the disadvantages. Exercise stimulates the lymphatic system which can often be backed up when eczema is flaring up. It helps improve not only your physical health but your mental health as well.

Stress is a huge trigger for Eczema and finding ways to reduce it can be great benefit. Below are some tips to use when working out.
- Bring your own Sweat Towel to the gym. You never know which detergent the Gym uses to wash their Towels. A lot of us are sensitive to detergents stick to using the one that doesn’t affect you at home.
- Use Hypoallergenic Fragrance Free Baby Wipes in order to wash off the sweat. This is mainly for those of you who sweat a lot like me. J
- Have a water bottle in handy and don’t be afraid to splash some water on your face and wipe it off with a sweat towel.
- Take a cold shower as soon as you can after a workout and use your favorite body wash. I love using both Neutro Grisi a hypoallergenic soap and @clnskincare Body Wash.
Ways to overcome anxiety or any negative thoughts when at the gym:
- Listen to positive motivational podcasts I highly recommend listening to Fearless Motivation on Spotify. Will be making an Eczema Warrior Playlist in the future.
- Say Positive affirmations to yourself in your head. “I am a Warrior. I am an overcomer. I am Strong. I am a Fighter.”
- Educate others and just get it off your chest. If you have a trainer tell them you have Eczema. You be surprised how many people either don’t notice or have the same thing you do and are just hiding it.
